On Hermits: Random Amusement

I'm gonna buy a bunch of hermit crabs and make 'em live together. People will say, "Are those hermit crabs?" I'll say, "Not anymore. They're mingling crabs."

hi there.. while some of us see ourselves as extreme introverts, the normals seem to define us as schizoids - a personality disorder that should be treated. would be great to hear any thoughts on that.

Anon, hi, there's a distinct difference between introversion and personality disorders. Introversion doesn't necessarily mean that there's any social anxiety at all. It's more like a built-in predilection - maybe even a need - for looking inwards. Being around others or around a lot of activity can become overwhelming easily, but mainly because that prevents introverts from looking inwards; and, according to some researchers, that's where we find our energy. And that shouldn't ever have to be a problem.

Anyway, thanks for your question. Maybe I'll write more about this at some point.

thank you hypothetical. please, if you ever write, would you address more differences. i see myself the definition of a schizoid without the stigma of a personality disorder. nevertheless, i enjoy and relate to what you have written.
